Fantastic success for our Club’s Teams and Juveniles at the Leinster Championships this year…

???????????? Leinster Team Event Championships ????????????

Congratulations to our 3 Ardee Teams who competed bravely to each earn a place on the Leinster Podium at the Team Event Championships in the Lourdes Stadium in Drogheda on June 3rd. ???? “Ardee Hey” ????????????
Competing for the first time at this event were our U9s, Kristupas Ruskys, Jokubas Ruskys, TomJoe McCormack and Harry Breen who proudly took home the Bronze and they were soon followed also into the Bronze position by our U10 Team of Oran Lynch, Alex Callan, Daniel Cirdei, Jack Duffy and Max O’Sullivan. But it was our U12s who stood out working hard through their events to jump into 1st position taking home the Gold as the Boys U12 Leinster Team Champions. Well done to these 13 boys who each gave it their best, working in pairs through their events (sprint, distance, long jump, turbo and shot put) to gain valuable points along with their relay results to earn their positions on the Leinster Podium. Fantastic team work. Well done each and every one of you.

???????????? Leinster Juvenile Championships ????????????

On June 15th & 16th Ardee & District AC’s Juvenile Athletes hit the podium at the Leinster Juvenile Championships. Beginning with the youngest, Caoimhe Carolan, competing in this event for the first time did her very best just missing out in the final of the U12 60m hurdles and Ashyn Mothiram throwing an impressive 22.17m coming 6th in the U12 turbo javelin. Jack Dowdall also new to the U13 60m hurdles came home an impressive 5th place in the final but jumping 4.53m in the long jump earned himself the bronze medal. Kya Mothiram was in exceptional throwing form coming 4th in the U14 Javelin and with a fantastic throw of 21.34m in the discus and 11.78m in the shot put earned the top spot on the podium to take away 2 gold medals. The determined Aoibheann Carolan came 5th in both the U17 shot put and 100m final and alongside her County team mates in the 4x100m relay took home the silver. Our most senior of these athletes Abbie Sheridan ran a tough race but managed to bag herself the bronze in the U18 3000m. Well done to all our athletes and we wish our medal finalists the best of luck in the upcoming Nationals in July.
