“A massive well done to all our Ardee & District AC members who completed the Dublin Marathon.  The stormy conditions certainly didn’t make it easy, but our runners showed incredible determination, grit and resilience to get across that finish line! A special shout-out to Helen Symmons, Ursula Mothiram, Alice Turley, Shirley McKenny and Jack McCarron, who all completed their very first marathon! What an incredible achievement and a day you’ll never forget!  Louise Mahoney Tyhuis deserves a huge round of applause for completing TWO marathons in just SEVEN days – Amsterdam and Dublin! Some achievement, and a true testament to her endurance and determination!  Catherine Kiernan smashed her previous best with a massive PB, despite the challenging conditions! Absolutely fantastic running!  A big shout-out also to our dedicated club members who travelled up to Dublin to cheer everyone on! Braving the wind and rain to support your fellow runners is what being part of a club is all about.  We’re so proud of every single one of you! Months of hard work, early mornings and long training runs all came down to those 26.2 miles, and you did yourselves and the club proud.”
