Since the Louth and Leinster Championships our young members have been keeping busy competing in a variety of events from beach races, road races to open track & field competitions, the community games and finishing the summer season with Seamie’s 5K.

August 23rd – National Community Games
Congratulations to Niamh Ireland and TomJoe McCormack who competed at the National Community Games in Carlow. A wonderful experience having qualified through the Area and Louth Community Games. Niamh was up against some tough opposition competing against national champions and just missing out on an 8th place selection and TomJoe ran in one of the most exiting 100m of the day with a photo finish for 3rd place between the 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th athletets, TomJoe finished 5th. Congratulations to both these dedicated young athletes.

August 16th – Ardee & District AC Open Sports Day 2026
The louth track and field season finished with our club’s Open Juvenile Sports Day. We had a wonderful day, a little rain but that didn’t deter our young athletes who did themselves proud and a huge thank you to all our volunteers, parents and especially our dedicated coaches and committee for their hard work and preparatins to this successful event. August 9th – Boyne AC Open Sports Day 2026
On Sunday, August 9th our juveniles traveled to the Lourdes Stadium in Drogheda for the Boyne AC Open Sports Day. We had a fantastic turnout with our athletes competing across track, field, and relay events. Every single athlete gave their absolute all, showing fantastic effort, sportsmanship, and determination from start to finish. Competing on the day we had newcomer U8 Jones Teather, U9s Emily Clinton, Vada Teather and George Mckenny, U10 Fatima Sanogo, U11 Alex Deady, U13 Louise Neary, U14s Niamh Ireland and Nina Prynczynski, U15s Molly Clinton, Evie Quinn Finegan, Adam Sanogo and Alfie O’Sullivan, U16s Sanata Sanogo and TomJoe McCormack and U17s Max O’Sullivan.
Some highlights included TomJoe McCormack taking double gold in the 100m sprint and long jump, Fatima Sanogo scoring a double win in the 60m and 400m, and Emily Clinton taking double silver in the 60m and 300m. Sanata Sanogo picked up double bronze in the 100m and 800m finals, while Alex Deady earned silver in the mixed U11 relay alongside strong track finishes. Our relay teams were out in force too, with Jones, Vada, Emily, and George taking 1st place in the U9 relay, Niamh, Evie, Adam, and Fatima securing 3rd in the U15 Boys Relay and Fatima, Lena, Alex, and Cian from Glenmore AC battling hard for 5th in the U13 Boys Relay.

August 7th – Carlingford 5K & Juvenile Road Races
A huge congratulations to Emily Clinton, Alfie O’Sullivan and Max O’Sullivan who represented the club at the Carlingford 5K & Juvenile Road Races. Emily ran a super race in the Under 9 500m, finishing in an 8th place medal position. Young Alfie preferring the 5K this year was outstanding and finished with a super new PB of 18:01 while Max stormed through with a blistering PB of 16:12. Superb running from these young athletes, well done.

Congratulations to Max O’Sullivan who took on the challenge of competing with the Juniors and took home the silver in the U20 1500m at the Louth Junior T&F Championships this year. Fantasting running from Max.
July 3rd – B-5 Bettystown 5K
A super win for Max who came first in the U20 category in a time of 16.55. Good on ya Max.
June 26th – St. Coco’s AC Kilcock 5
On the evening of June 26th Alfie O’Sullivan accompanied by his mum Bernie, round the Kilcock 5 in super times, while mum Bernie finished in an impressive 22:15 minutes, Alfie stormed ahead to finish in a time of 18.04 and take the 3rd place prize in the U20 category. Fantastic running Alfie, well done.
