What a fun night at Blackrock AC’s Beach Races… Well done to Gerard & Evelyn Thornton, Molly Clinton, TomJoe McCormack and Frank & Charlie Sands 
Running 250m Gerard had a slow start but quickly moved up to finish amongst the medals in the U8s, coming 5th. Frank too had a fantastic race finishing 4th in the U10 500m race. No medals for our U10 girls but super sportsmanship as Evelyn took a spectacular tumble early on, got up and pushed hard to finish 9th with Molly hot on her heels. TomJoe too had an exciting race battling hard until the end just missing out on the medals finishing 7th overall in the U12 500m. And in our last race for the club Charlie took an early lead to take gold in the U16 750m. The evening ended with the most exciting Relays, a wonderful atmosphere and highly recommended.
