May Bank Holiday Weekend (4th, 5th & 6th May) – On a fresh Saturday morning 8 good chaps went for a parkrun @ Deerpark Carlanstown, DKIT Dundalk and Oldbridge and on Sunday our members enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the Drogheda 10K followed by an 11K fun run to Annagassan and a trek up Slieve Binnain in the beautiful Mourne mountains on Bank Holiday Monday.
Weekend 10th, 11th & 12th May – The weekend began with Brian, Michael Keiran, Aileen and Shirley running the Marist 5K followed by lady success at the parkruns the next morning. Congratulations to Bernie, 1st woman home at Oldbridge and Tracey, Emma and Kate the first 3 ladies home at Deerpark Carlanstown. And on Sunday, while some of our members went out for a funrun to Salterstown, Michael Kinahan ran the Terenure 5 Mile. Well done everyone.
Weekend 18th & 19th May – The weekend began on Friday evening with a funrun 15K for Daniel and David from Carlingford to Omeath followed by an outstanding show of support from our members at the Deerpark Carlanstown parkrun on Saturday morning. Also, on Saturday, some of our members enjoyed the Cooley Coast 10K and Irish Runner 5K. Well done Everyone.
May 21st – Some of our members taking a break from training to help the Club host the Ardee/Reaghstown Area Community Games – Thank you Guys. And a massive well done to Liam Giggins who ran an amazing 5K PB of 16:57 at the Bob Heffernan & Mary Hanley 5K in Enfield this evening. Super running Liam.
Weekend 25th & 26th May – A mixed bag of races this weekend… As always on Saturday morning Frank enjoyed top 3 in Deerpark parkrun Carlanstown but Leo popped up Stateside running the Kensington parkrun in Maryland USA while Bernie and Ronan ran in traditional summer weather; storms, sun and humidity at Queen’s parkrun, Glasgow. And on Sunday while Michael was up North enjoying a very fast Newry Half Marathon, Barbara and Shirley was completing The Barretstown Dublin Mountain Challenge, Shane was getting a new PB at the Wilkinstown 5K… Well done everyone.
Midweek – May 28th – And finishing off the month of May a few or our members enjoyed the Michelle McTiernan 5K hosted by Star of the Sea AC in Stamullen. Well done to you All.
