The Rás na hÉireann 2025

On February 16th, 18 of our juveniles headed to Lawlesstown to compete in the annual Rás na hÉireann. In the U9 400m races we had Molly Carroll and newcomers Meabh Carroll, Connall Leavey and George McKenny. In the U11 1200m race we had regulars Gerard Thornton, Jake Meade and Jamie Rogers. For the U13 1600m race we had Emmitt Dillion, Daniel Halpenny, Lucy Whelan and Evie Corcoran who were joined by newcomers Emily Meade and Megan Taaffe to make a girls team. In the U15 2400m we had newcomer Connor Giggins, Colm Halpenny, Liam Boyle and Shauna Mannion and for the U17 4000m boys race we had Max O’Sullivan. Lawlesstown is a tough course especially for those new to competition but they all ran with style and conviction. Well done everyone.
