April Showers

April 1st – Enjoying the Easter Monday 5K with Dundalk Gaels. Well done Joan, Emma and Vincent.

Weekend 6th & 7th April – On Saturday morning four or our members completed the Bear Race Dundalk 10K with a few of our regulars enjoying the weekly parkrun in Deepark and a special mention to Ronan who completed his 100th parkrun at the Hasenheide Parkrun in Germany the day before he ran the Berlin Half Marathon. The following day Michael headed south to run the Cobh 10 Miler and Teresa crossed the Irish Sea to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Fantastic running from everyone, well done.

Weekend 13th & 14th April

On this weekend we have lots of members out running. On Saturday morning Frank Meade completed his 50th Parkrun and obtaining a new PB in Deerpark, Carlanstown, he was joined by Sean, Leo, Ben and Tracey. And in the other local parkruns we had Tony in Laytown Beach, Michael in Dundalk DKIT and Ronan in Oldbridge. The following day a possie ran the Rotterdam Half and Full Marathon, a fantastic club outing and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended. Well done to all our athletes.

April 17th, a mid-week race – On a cool evening 30 of our members enjoyed the DKIT Dundalk 10K – looks like everyone enjoyed themselves…

Weekend 20th & 21st April

The sun finally came out this weekend and it began with our members celebrating the 200th parkrun with Deerpark parkrun and the O’Sullivan Family enjoying Oldbridge parkrun. Over in Hungary members Hazel and Tara McGuinness completed the Budapest Half Marathon and the following day Michael Pentony ran the London Marathon. Well done everyone, fantastic achievements…

Weekend 27th & 28th April

This weekend we saw members at Deerpark, Dundalk DKIT and Oldbrige parkruns and a special shout out to Tracey Gillespie, first woman home in Oldbridge and on Sunday, Hazel McGuinness completed the MIUT Marathon in Portugal. Well done Everyone.
