April 2019… We had glorious sunshine until storm Hannah showed up.

April 6th – And what a lovely evening for a run.  Congratulations to our members who thoroughly enjoyed the Patsy Kelly 5K in Dundalk. April 7th Congratulations to Barry Reid and Ronan O’Sullivan. Both men flew the Ardee Flag in spectacular style in Italy and the UK. Barry completed his 19th Marathon in the picturesque city of Rome in 3hrs 55min while Ronan ran an impressive 3:41:45 at The Greater Manchester Marathon. A big well done to you both.

April 10th – An army of Ardee Athletes headed to Dundalk this evening competing in DKIT”s Dundalk 10K.  Conditions were perfect for this popular event. A fantastic atmosphere and fun was had by all.  Paul Barns was the first man home for the club with a new personal best of 40:57 followed by newcomer Danny Cirdei in an impressive time of 44:19. Brian Duff also achieved a new pb of 46:09 followed closely by Dave Symmons achieving a new pb of 47:30, Conor Lynch 47:58, Michelle Lynch also achieving a new pb of 48:28, Tracey McCarron 57:08, Deidre McEneaney 58:37, Domhnall Lennon 58:44 and equally impressive newcomers, sisters, Regina McElroy 1:03:07 and Amanda McElroy 1:03:41.  The ‘big guns’ were out in force too in the over 40s & 50s with Leo Farrell leading the way as the 2nd person home for the club in an impressive time of 42:10 followed closely by Michael Lundon 42:29, David Tyhuis achieving a new pb of 46:57, Jim Myles 47:01, Peter Carolan 48:30, Roisin Whyte 49:44, Roy Crawley 49:58 and Aidan Dunne 52:11.  Impressive running, congratulations to you all, well done.

April 14th – Congratulations to Ronan O’Sullivan who ran the Great Ireland Run in a time of 44:57 at the Phoenix Park this morning. Over 3000 people competed in this race today but we still managed to spot our Ronan.  Well done Ronan.

April 22nd – Well done to Domhnall Lennon who ran a comfortable 32:37 in Moynalty AC’s annual 4 Mile Road Race in the glorious sunshine.

April 27th – 5 days later and battling storm Hannah a massive well done to Tracey McCarron who completed her first half marathon of the year @ East of Ireland’s Donabate Half.  Well done Tracey.

April 28th – Congratulations to Shane Carroll (pb 38:54) and Danny Cirdei (43:24) who late on Sunday night ran around the streets of inner city Dublin @ The Dublin 10K Night Run. Well done Lads.
