THANK YOU to our members and to you our community for supporting our club’s initiative to raise much needed funds for Pieta House.
In conjunction with Pieta House and Electric Ireland’s Darkness into Light Sunrise Appeal some 50 members from our club along with the support of our juvenile families ran in virtual teams to complete a Virtual Marathon. Each ran or walked 3.3miles in their own locality whilst keeping social distance.
From 5pm yesterday morning and throughout the day our members shared pictures of the sunrise and/or selfies as they completed their run or walk.
Everyone was fantastic, we are so proud of our members in their initiative and generosity and of our community for their endless support.
Since 2pm on Friday we’ve raised over €2250 for Pieta House.
In a race there is only one winner but on May 9th 2020 WE ALL WON… we won in our united support of each other.
