Bank Holiday Monday 01.06.26 – Well done to all the ladies from Ardee & District AC who completed the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon. It was a hot day and a tough route, but everyone dug deep, kept going, and crossed the finish line with smiles on their faces.




Weekend 6/7 June – A new parkrun to add to our list, Conor McCaughley enjoying Mountlucas parkrun in Co. Offaly and back home we had Brian, Pauline, Deirdre and Helen competing in The Long Woman’s 5K in Carlingford. Well done to you all.


Weekend 13/14 June – Congratulations to all our members who took part in the Glenmore Challenge Running Festival 2026 running in the various distances available, the 5K, 10K, 10 Mile, Half Marathon & Full Marathon. Beautiful weather and a wonderful expeirence enjoyed by everyone taking in the breathtaking Glenmore Valley nestled in the heart of the Cooley Peninsula. A speical shout out to Leo who was the 1st Male in the Over 60 category and super PBs for Kevin and Tracey in the 5K and an incredible second sub-20 minute 5K for Dave, making it two weeks in a row. And Frank Meade was over in Deerpark Carlonstown enjoying the weekly parkrun.







Weekend 20/21 June – Milestone Celebrations at Deerpark parkrun Carlanstown this weekend with many members joining in the fun. Congrations to Joan McQuillan who completed her 100th parkrun and finised in the top 3 on the day. Other milestones were Emma Wieenga who completed her 50th parkrun and Emma’s son Gabriel who completed his 25th parkrun. Congratulations, a wonderful achievment.


Monday, 22 June – A Special Evening… In aid of Nobber Cancer Support Group, our friends in Syddon Runners, Denise, Suzanne & Claire organised a ‘5000 steps for 20000 feet fun run/walk’ from the Church of the Holy Cross in Lobinstown. Congratulations to our wonderful members who were able to join and support them.


Weekend 26/27 June – On the evening of June 26th Bernie Balfe and her son Alfie flew round St. Coco’s AC Kilcock 5 in Super times, Bernie finishing in 22:15 minutes but Alfie finished 3rd in the U20 category in an amazing 18:04 minutes. Fantastic running from this mother and son team. The following day, a few of our members joined the Ardee Sanctuary Runners at their Regional gathering in Dominic’s Park Drogheda meeting many more from East Meath, Dundalk and Drogheda Sanctuary Runners.

Weekend 3/4 July – It’s a mother and son theme this weekend… On the evening of July 3rd Bernie Balfe and son Max stormed round the B-5 Bettystown 5K with Max taking the top spot in the Under 20’s category in a time of 16.55. What an achievment. Well done Max. And the following day whilst visiting her beloved Donegal, Sarah and son Sachin enjoyed Buncrana parkrun.


Weekend 11/12 July – On the morning of the 11th while all were preparing for the road to Croke Park (Louth v Mayo Semi Final) Ronan O’Sullivan was out in the early morning sunshine enjoying Oldbridge parkrun. The following day, a scorcher, a few of our adult members put in some fantastic performances! Up in Dublin, competing at the Fingal 10K we had Danny Cirdei, Kate Moonan, Paddy O’Mahony, Aisling O’Malley and Gerry Clinton. And back in County Louth, David Tyhuis and Shirley McKenny ran the Termonfeckin Half Marathon and Peter Carlon, Orlaith Carlon, Louise Mahoney Thyuis and Alice Turley ran the Termonfeckin 4 Miler. Wonderful running by all in hot conditions and a big shout out to Aisling and Louise on their PBs.





Weekend 17/18/19 July –
July 22nd – Louth Junior, Senior & Masters’ Track & Field Championships – Congratulations to all our members who competed at this year’s Louth Track & Field Championships. All ages and abilities came together at the Lourdes Stadium in Drogheda. Competing for the club we had Juniors, Max O’Sullivan and Charlie Sands and our Masters, Bernie Balfe, Helen Symmons, Dave Symmons, Ursula Mothiram, Joan McQuillan, Teresa Ludden, Vincent McQuillan and Pauline Breslin. A fantastic night. Well done to you all.

Weekend 25/26 July – And finishing the jolly months of the summer some of members headed early to Glenmore, meeting at the Mullaghbouy Community Centere for a fun 10k while Leo Farrell, proudly wearing our county’s colours enjoyed the Dundalk parkrun.
