Our Seniors kept themselves busy over the festive holidays…
♥️ NEW YEAR’S DAY – Well done to Domhnall Lennon 24:31, Elaine Kearney 28:59 and Brian Duff with a new personal best of 22:39 at the Killanny CPR New Year’s Day 5K fundraising run. Congratulations to everyone involved and well done to our athletes.
♥️ December 30th – Congratulations to Brian Duff 52:13, Ben Corcoran 49:55 and Leo Farrell 4th overall in a time of 43:41 at the Fergal Caraher Memorial 10k Run in Cullyhanna, Co. Armagh today. Great running from these men.
♥️ December 27th – Barry Reid was all smiles today as he chased The Fat Turkey for 10k around Sutton. Well done Barry.
♥️ December 27th – Well done to Bernie Balfe on completing Navan AC’s Rita & Robbie Christmas 5k Run today in an impressive time of 21:32. Fantastic running from Bernie.
♥️ ST. STEPHEN’S DAY – St. Stephen’s Day fun for a beautiful cause… Our Seniors enjoying a festive morning at Sean McDermotts GFC’s SOSAD Christmas 5k. ♥️ December 16th – It was a busy shopping weekend for the Ladies of the Club but some of the lads found time to go for a run today… In the beautiful setting of Camlough Lake in Co. Armagh 3 ‘wise men’ enjoyed the 7 mile challenge around the lake. Well done to Michael Lundon 51.12, Brian Duff 58:54 and Domhnall Lennon 1:03:02. Back in Louth 4 ‘fast shepherds’ ran the Beko Christmas 5k in Drogheda. Well done to Kevin Carroll 21.28, David Tyhuis 22.21 new PB, Dave Symmons 22.41 & Peter Carolan 23:16.
♥️ December 2nd – From East to West Ardee & District AC had a busy day…
* At Athletics Louth’s Masters Cross Country Championships in Togher two of our veteran athletes finished in the top 30, Liam Smith and Leo Farrell with Leo taking home the bronze in the over 50s category. Well done to both gentlemen.
* And in Reaghstown an enthusiastic bunch of our athletes tried their luck at chasing the wild goose! Well done to our athletes, Brian Duff, Richie McGuinness, Domhnall Lennon, Trudi McGuinness, Pauline Breslin, Peter Carolan, AnneMarie Dillon, Roisin Whyte, Michelle Lynch, Dave Symmons, Deirdre McMahon, Paul Barns, Michael Lundon and Tracey McCarron with her children, Jessica and Jack. Well done Everyone and thank you to our friends in The Westerns GFC Wild Goose Chase 10k & 5k for a well organised fun day of running.
