Ardee’s Seamie Weldon Memorial 5K & 10K

In preparation for Seamie’s 5K we host a Couch to 5K programme…

From the first Monday in July @ 7pm and every Monday and Wednesday to the last Wednesday before Seamie’s 5K (held on the first Saturday every September).
Meeting at The Fairgreen Park – €2 per night – A full 8, 9 or some years, 10 weeks of running fun.
All welcome; walkers, joggers, new to running or returning – we’ll get you started!

This event is run in memory of Seamie Weldon, a celebration of the life of this man who inspired athletics in the young of our community and dedicated so much to Ardee & District Athletic Club and athletics in general.

2025 will mark our 10th Annual Seamie Weldon Memorial 5K and our 3rd 10K. The route for both the 5K and 10K will remain the same as last year and our base is Ardee Community School A92 F838.

Medals for all finishers including the option to purchase this year’s fab new T-shirt.

The Seamie Weldon Memorial 5K Cup – 1st Male Team (team of 4) + cash prizes & 2nd cash prize.
The Jimmy Bradley Memorial 5K Cup – 1st Female Team (team of 4) + cash prizes & 2nd cash prize.
Seamie Weldon 5K Junior Trophies – 1st, 2nd & 3rd (Male & Female).
10K Team Cash Prizes – 1st & 2nd Male & Female Teams (teams of 4).
5K Bonus Time Challenge Prizes – Male & Female.
5K & 10K Cash Prizes in all Categories – 1st, 2nd & 3rd including 1st & 2nd in Masters o40, o50, o60.
The PJ Callan Club Awards – 1st Male & Female in both the 5K & 10K for Ardee & District AC club members in memory of the late Paddy Callan RIP.
Incorporating the Louth Masters 5K Road Race.
