12 athletes from our club competed at the Leinster Juvenile Championships this year on June 11th, 17th and 18th…
June 11th Our U10 Girls Relay Team, Sadie Durnin, Hannah Duffy, Freya Durnin and Aisling Musiime had the most exciting time in Tullamore. Their first time at the Leinsters and they came away with the U10 Bronze Medal in the Inter-Club Relay Championships, a fantastic achievement.

June 17th & 18th Leinster Individual Championships (U12 up) – 
Representing our club were Oscar McArdle Murphy, Ruri Mothiram, Max O’Sullivan, Alex McFadden, Emma Boyle, Aoife Pentony, Charlie Sands and Kya Mothiram and what a weekend we had with medals, pbs and a championship record and like the weather we had highs and lows too but overall, an amazing experience this year…New to competing at the Leinsters Max gave his all as he ran, jumped and threw his way through the championships achieving new PBs in the 80m, Long Jump and Shot Put. And while the sun shone so too did our throwers, all qualifying for the nationals; Ruri was the first to jump onto the podium taking gold with a throw of 22.31m in the U14 Discus and making the top eight to come 5th in the Shot Put and 6th in the Javelin. Throwing 24.16m Oscar bagged himself the bronze in the U13 Javelin and also qualifying for the nationals Aoife came 4th in the U15 Discus and 8th in the Javelin. Our seasoned athletes Charlie and Kya didn’t disappoint either with Charlie taking silver in the U17 Javelin and double gold for Kya winning both the U18 Discus and Shot Put. Jumping for the club were Emma and Charlie. It was Emma’s first time at the Leinster Championships and while the Long Jump didn’t go her way she finished 6th in the 80m Hurdles. Charlie had more success coming 3rd in the U17 Long Jump and 2nd in the 100m Hurdles with a new pb 15.55sec. Charlie along with Alex had more success on the track; Charlie talking home the silver in the U17 400m and Alex delighting us all at his first ever athletic competition, came 4th in the 200m, 3rd in the 80m and running 43.85sec took the gold in the 300m. Well done Oscar, Ruri, Max, Alex, Emma, Aoife, Charlie and Kya #clubproud.
