On December 19th Joan McQuillan ran her first ever 15k. Joan began with us in 2019 as a Couch 2 5k runner for our Seamie Weldon Memorial run. A massive achievement for Joan we are truly delighted for her.
Following a visit from Santa and full of the Christmas spirit Annemarie Dillon and her daughters Molly and Rhona Keenan completed the Virtual Goal Mile for the charity GOAL on December 26th.
On December 27th a number of our members took on the Great Limerick Virtual Challenge running many distances around Ardee…
A special shout out to Karen Taaffe and Sarah Duff on completing their 1st ever 10km with club mates and mentors Deirdre McEneaney and David Tyhuis.
Fantastic running too from the dynamic duo that are Michelle and Conor Lynch who completed the 10 mile challenge.
And a massive well done to our marathon runners, Ben Corcoran and Gary Dunne on completing the Half, Connell Keenan running that wee bit further 26km and Roy Crawley and Danny Cirdei on completing the Full Marathon in under 4 hours.
Stepping away from running we congratulate our Juveniles Arthur Sands, Charlie Sands & Caoimhe Carolan ‘Seamie’s Crew’ on winning their episode of RTE Two’s Squad Goals televised on December 28th.
And finishing up the month on December 31st was the O’Sullivan Family who completed the Excel Sports Xmas 12-runs challenge. This challenge involved either Walking, Jogging or Running 5K for 12 days over the month of December AND THEY DID IT. A massive well done to Alfie, Max, Bernie and Ronan.
And Well Done to all our Members adults and juveniles alike, we congratulate you all on your personal achievements obtained throughout this difficult Covid year
