WOW, Super running from our club today, October 25th. 18 members took to the roads running in many directions looping our beautiful town on this sunny autumn morning. 15 of them took on the challenge of completing the KCB Dublin virtual Marathon and Half Marathon.
A Massive congratulations to Roy Crawley, Peter Carolan, Danny Cirdei, David Tyhuis and Ronan O’Sullivan who all ran the full marathon with a special shout out to Roy and Peter, a first full marathon for them both, Well done Lads.
A Huge congratulations too to Alice Turley, Kate Moonan, Belinda Rogers, Gary Dunne, Aidan Mooney, Michelle Lynch, Amanda McElroy, Conor Lynch and Bernie Balfe who ran the half marathon but it was an extra special day for Alice and Kate as they completed their first ever half marathon, Well done Ladies.
Looping the town too in support of their club members were Joan McQuillan, Tracey Gillespie and Emma Wiebenga all completing an 11k circuit of support, Good on you Ladies… it won’t be long before these ladies run their first half marathons too.
Well done Everyone, we are so proud of your achievements and a special thanks to David Tyhuis and Brian Duff who plan and plot the training regimes.
We would also like to thank those in their cars or passing on the roads for their cheers, beeps and claps as our members passed by on their lone run or in pairs. Your support meant so much to each and every one of Members.
