The Run to Christmas 2025 (Nov/Dec)

NOVEMBER 1ST/2ND – The run to Christmas began on November 1st with our local parkruns, Oldbridge and Dundalk. In Oldbridge celebrating their 500th parkrun we had Bernie, Max, Leo and Vincent with a special shout out to Max who was the first man home.  And in Dundalk, we had Emma, Roy, Kate, Louise, Tracey, Barry and Andrew. The following day Vincent headed out again, this time competing in the Louth Senior Cross Country Championships in the beautiful grounds of Bellurgan Park. Beautiful autumn weather and wonderful running. Well done everyone.

 

NOVEMBER 8TH/9TH – On November 8th at Deepark parkrun Carlonstown Vincent finished in first place and joining him on the day were Emma, Teresa and Joan.

 

NOVEMBER 10TH – Louth Local Sports Partnership annually host an awards event acknowledging volunteers from the many voluntary run clubs throughout County Louth and this year three Ardee & District AC present and past coaches were nominated – Trudi McGuinness for Ardee & District AC, Deidre McMahon for Louth Community Games and Mark Lacey for Oldbridge Parkrun.  Congratulations to you all.

 

NOVEMBER 15TH/16TH – On the morning of November 15th Ronan O’Sullivan headed to Oldbridge parkrun and by lunchtime he joined many of our members at the much loved Annagassan 10K.  And later that evening our members enjoyed a well deserved night out.

 

 

NOVEMBER 22ND/23RD – Lovely running today from Emma, Tracey, Aidan, Roy and Vincent in Deepark parkrun Carlanstown and a special mention goes out to the ladies, Tracey and Emma, top 2 finishers on the day while Roan was over in Odbridge parkrun.

 

NOVEMBER 29TH/30TH – Leo and Ronan enjoying a cold but fresh morning in Oldbridge and Annemarie, Roy, Emma, Tracey and Aidan out for a long morning run up ‘Baby Hacklim’.

 

 

 

DECEMBER 6TH/7TH –  Lovely conditions in Oldbridge saw Max and Tracey setting pace with Tracey finishing first for the ladies and over in New York City, Roy was enjoying the Brooklyn Bridge parkrun.  The following day ‘The 3 Amigos’, Michael, Paddy and David competed in the ….

 

DECEMBER 13TH/14TH – Parkrun fun this weekend with Emma, Joan and Dave in Deerpark and Roan and Max in Oldbridge…

 

DECEMBER 20TH/21ST –

A busy weekend for our members, some ran ‘The Race Around the Lake’ in Camlough, some completed the Drogheda Christmas 5K whilst others enjoyed a well-earned club breakfast the following morning in Muldoons.  Meanwhile, club members Ronan and Bernie were flying the flag internationally, competing in HYROX Stockholm.  It was Bernie’s first HYROX, good on ya Berni and Well done to everyone out running this weekend.
