March 2nd – The cold, wet and windy weather didn’t stop some of our athletes from competing today. Great running at the Carlingford Half Marathon & 10k from Róisín Whyte (52:58) and Ben Corcoran (48:44). “It was a tough course, uphill for the first 5k but very enjoyable with only one lesson to be learnt especially on a wet day… take that photo at the start” ???? We don’t agree, you both look exhilarated. And back at the Dundalk ParkRun some impressive times from Derek Gillespie (24:25) and Brian Duff (PB 23:41). As always the Club loves to hear of your personal achievements. Well done everyone.

March 10th – What a day for our Club as seven of our Seniors braved and battled the wind and sleet at the Bohermeen Half Marathon in Meath this morning, a quiet course on scenic country roads. It was a day of firsts and many celebrations… Leading the way were the dynamic duo of Bernie Balfe and Ronan O’Sullivan accompanied by the amazing Yvonne Callan competing in her first Half Marathon in 20 years. In less than 15 minutes determined newcomer Conor Lynch crossed the finish line celebrating his debut Half Marathon followed closely behind by club men Brian Duff and Peter Carolan with the equally determined Michelle Lynch hot on their heels as she too celebrated on the finish line having completed her first ever Half Marathon. Well done Everyone, impressive running from you all. Welcome back Yvonne and special Congratulations to Michelle and Conor.
